Aunty Peggy’s news

Mum – “Aunty Peggy”

2018 has been a tough year for Mum. On July 24, she fell and broke her hip. We are SO grateful to the doctors and staff at Victoria Hospital in Wynberg for the outstanding care they gave her. After her hip replacement op, an amazing physio friend helped Mum with rehab, as did the wonderful staff at Nerina Gardens. At age 88, Mum is walking again (with a walker) and back in her own room at Nerina Gardens. This has been a set-back and Mum is definitely more frail than before the fall. She is also naturally nervous about falling again, so it has been a confidence-shaker. Thank you to all who have prayed for her. Prayers are appreciated! She has made a wonderful recovery, and we are grateful to God.

Don’t know if you will get this. Maureen and Melanie Gough from the Uk send lots of love and have very fond memories of our time in Gweru, and we really miss Zim.

Hi Mel – I definitely remember you! Great to be in contact. I will pass on your greetings to Mum, who is doing well! She will be 90 this year.
I am about to post more of our news here – but if you are on whatsapp, Mum would love to hear from you. She does voice messages as her writing and typing were affected by the stroke she had in November 2014. Her whatsapp number is 00 27 76 300 3348. Sending you both our very best wishes and God bless.
